Could you explain what you are trying to accomplish?  It appears you are trying to make a secondary connection from the remote system.  If that is the case, the command is PROXY (proxy open xxx, proxy user yyy, etc.).

Subject: RE: [WS_FTP Forum] Scripting/USER command

So are you saying use a command like
QUOTE USER larryc2 passwd2       ?
Doesn't seem to work either.

QUOTE appears in the list of acceptable commands on the help menu, but...
If i select "Insert" from the scripting tool, QUOTE is *not* available. If I insert
it manually, the whole command blows up when you step into it.

This shouldn't be that complicated,  am I overlooking something simple ?

Thanks

I haven't tried it with WSFTP, the usual practice is to prepend the command with QUOTE.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Scripting/USER command

Hi,

My apologies if this has been asked before.
I am attempting to script a ftp session using wsftp ver. 8.03 (eval).
A portion of the script is as follows;

USER larryc1
PASS passwd1
CONNECT ftpserver.oreilly.com
USER  larryc2 PASSWD2

Everything works until I hit the 4th line.
Line 4 is the command I'm having problems with.  I want wsftp to
transmit the command "USER  larryc2 PASSWD2" to the remote
machine. Instead it gives me "] Processing Line [user larryc2 PASSWD2] "

How can I get WSFTP to transmit the command instead of "processing" it?

thanks!
regards,
larryc
