Title: I would like to find out the pw for the user accounts
If you can see the Dots or Asterisks for the password in your WS_FTP client and just want to know what is behind them to recover the password you can use a program called Asterisk Key from http://www.lostpassword.com/asterisk.htm this is a free utility and will disclose the charicters behind the Dots or Asterisks.

Note that while it will work for the WS_FTP Pro Client it will not recover passwords from the WS_FTP Server user setup screen.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] I would like to find out the pw for the user accounts

Hi All,,, we have quite a few legacy FTP pro  accounts that have been around for
quite a long time, and as such these new users that come on board don't know what the
pw is for their user accts. Some of these users have never been told what pw is.
Is their any way that I can run a report or edit a file that will show me the User acct
and the associtated Pw?
Were running WS_FTP Pro  ver 8.02 2003
I have check the knowledge base for FTP Pro and see no specific hits to my question above.

thank you.
