Hi Jeff, that makes sense and I guess I do pretty much the same. I've never used version 7, but I feel the same way about version 8.03.
I do have another question and it is why I am sending this to both address that were on the email I am responding to. I placed your address there, and I have the, [email protected] address also. You see on each of the other emails I sent I received back a notification from the post office or whatever it was called, saying my email couldn't be delivered. Has anyone found that happening? And I am using Yahoo for this; where it asks to save the address it also asks me to create a list. I guess they mean a white list but why? All the WS_FTP mail has been coming into my inbox with no problems all this time.

I never upgrade to a new whole-number version (i.e., 7 to 8, 8 to 9) of any software until it's been available for a while and user reports have begun to appear. And I never upgrade just for the sake of upgrading; there has to be a compelling new feature, a major fix, or the requirements of a customer before I'll abandon a working version. As a result, I am still using WS_FTP Pro v7 and have never found a reason to upgrade beyond it.Jeff DeTray
