This is the problem with WS_FTP PRO 2006. We (FRB NY) replacing our server with a new one (Windows 2003) and when I tried to load the software it gives an error:
Maximum number of activations have been reached for this license key.
It allows only one load of the product.
And what if you have a new machine ?.... or if we have a contingency site, that never works together with actual production?...

you would install it the same way you did on your old computer, if you mean how do you keep your sites and settings, you can go to the directory
'C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Ipswitch\WS_FTP\" and copy what you need to keep from there, if it's just your sites you're worried about then copy the sites folder to the new computer. I don't think there's an export feature (There should be) to export your setting or sites to import them to another computer.

[WS_FTP Forum] Installing on new computer

I have a registered copy of WS FTP Pro installed on an old computer that I am replacing with a new one. I would like to install the WS FTP Pro on the new computer. How do I do this?
