I’m using ver 8.02 2003. 09.02.   IpSwitch responded  and referred me to their article that talked about making a backup copy of these two

files……        Original.ini and WS_ftp.ini   all the site info is in these two files.  I just did a search for them both……Ron

What version of ws ftp are you using? I'm using 2006, but I know that version 8 also has the sites stored in that directory, and I think 7 might also, I can't remember exactly. you might want to check all the users directories under documents and settings including the "All Users" directory and see if you can find it, under the sites folder you should see a 'ws_ftp.ini' that contains the info for your sites.

HI Frank…..I looked into the   Path  that you identified below in your email   and on my version of  WS_FTP  pro  that last folder is  “empty”

yet I have 18 sites that I have created and use for testing SSL.   They must be stored somewhere else in a binary file possibly???……Ron

Comments anyone?

you would install it the same way you did on your old computer, if you mean how do you keep your sites and settings, you can go to the directory

'C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Ipswitch\WS_FTP\" and copy what you need to keep from there, if it's just your sites you're worried about then copy the sites folder to the new computer. I don't think there's an export feature (There should be) to export your setting or sites to import them to another computer.

I have a registered copy of WS FTP Pro installed on an old computer that I am replacing with a new one. I would like to install the WS FTP Pro on the new computer. How do I do this?
