You were perfectly clear the first time. Mr. Fisher didn't read your post carefully enough. You hit submit, and you are placed in never never land. Only a very little reading between the lines was necessary.
It is broken. The funny thing is that apparently they use there own software, something called imail. But I am guessing that it is probably a configuration problem, rather then the software is actually broken. It is starting to amaze me how well wf_ftp works, given there problems with this list. It actual works pretty well. Except for that almost unforgivable problem that you can't see who owns the files that you are looking at on the remote UNIX server. You can see the permissions, but not the owner. It is kind of like checking into a hotel; they give you the key, but not the room number. If it is a small hotel, you can try every room until the key works, but not exactly the right way to do it. Yea, the analogy doesn't quite work, but it is close. It may be that someone in dev updates the web server and overlays old lists. I hope this is of real help, I would keep this IP handy if it re-occurs. I started getting return receipts from my messages and realized that I had replied to a message that had it turned on, so I guess it stayed on for me. I apologize. I don't know whether they are due to forum member actions that involve requesting notification of a message being received/read or some sort of setting on the list server. However, I suspect that some forum members have a habit of (as in, a check box checked for) requesting either a read receipt or a receive receipt. (I've run into that before, is why. ;-) Respectfully, Ralph D.
