Then again, as Microsoft will be shoving Longhorn down everybody's throat through OEM sales, having it pre-installed on all new PCs, and probably bombard the general populace with a full-spectrum advertising/conversion campaign (not to mention the myriad of applications that, all of a sudden, will be "Longhorn only" - as is currently the case for XP with most of the audio/video editing software that in the past I've been using on my humble Win2k box), it may still have a positive impact. Far more worrying is the fact that - I suspect - the main focus of Longhorn will shift towards XAML/Avalon/Sparkle, and guess which browser/OS will be the only one supporting that for a while ?
