Sound can be an effective communicator. Unfortunately, many use it as a dancing bear. I agree with you on the music, you should be able to opt in not opt out of it. But, I think soundFX used as feedback is necessary for good communication and should become standardized.

for the next one or on a refresh. That is VERY bad. I personally have a

Consider the people viewing the site. Where are they? Is it at home,
work, library? What is the effect when sounds suddenly start emanating
from the PC?
