Thanks Lindsay.  Good suggestions. I've changed the method to get already.  

I haven't paid much attention to error trapping, and that's my bad.
Actually I never use the 3 digit abbreviation, so it never occurred to me
and it should have.  I'll do some thinking about error trapping in the next
day or so as I get more reaction to the tool.

Looks pretty good to me, Mike.

One thing I'd suggest: make the form method 'get' instead of 'post', that
way people can bookmark, email, etc. the colour scheme easily.

Oh, found a bug, too: if I enter a 3 digit hex code (eg. #333), then I get a
CF error, might be handy for us lazy CSS folk to put shorthand for colours
in :)
