I agree, but within reason. If the topic is related to the Web (i.e. standards, design, app development, database engineering, systems integration, education, etc.) then it's on point.
A more open forum will only help to facilitate, and bring attention to "Web Standards," which has to seemlessly integrate with other Internet technologies that we can learn about, and benefit from.
