Thanks for the quick feedback all - I understand the how-to now. What I want to know is: is there a semantically correct way to place the letterhead and footer code in the html so that it doesn't affect how well the html is laid out and/or spidered by search engines? Also: will this conflict, if at all, with making them appear at the top and bottom of the printed page respectively?
