Its a little off topic, but one thing I have *always* done when I have worked for a non-profit is invoiced them with my normal rates anyway - then have the final line on the invoice discount it down to $0
It lets them know just what they are 'getting away with'.

Its important to make appropriate use of the time you donate to a charity etc so you increase your skills, but its also important not to be walked over.
