It seems to be  a width problem. I reduced the #maincontent to 480px and it fits on IE. You might be able to increase the size some, the 480 was a first attempt. Given the mix of px and em for various margins, paddings, etc there is likely a rounding difference which makes one fit and the other not. This is done without the man in the suite. image.

I'm curious as to why if you want 2 columns you just don't make 2 columns and float both nav and maincontent. The layout doesn't seem to call for the margin-left approach but the margin vs float choice is often personal.
