There are some differences between the windows versions and the mac versions, but if it works on windows, it is very likely it will work on mac as well. But aside from buying a mac, you can try to use an emulator or a virtual machine and test the website from there. You can also try to use this site (browsershots) <http://browsershots.org/>.
