Hi Bill and all,

I have WSJT-X running well on both Windows and Linux, using r3522 plus Bill's patch. It's QAudio all the way, no PortAudio. To make it work in Linux I had to remove the "#ifdef UNIX" blocks in both Modulator.cpp and soundout.cpp that dealt withe the PortAudio quirk of insisting on sending audio output to both Left and Right channels.

I did have some hassles getting it to run in Linux. With the exception noted above, they all had to do with (a) having several versions of Qt (4.7, 5.0.2, 5.1.0) installed and not having set some environment variables properly. I'm learning Qt's behavior and requirements, albeit rather slowly. I will gradually move everything in my development machines (two for Windows, two more for Linux) to Qt 5.1.

Bill, your code appears to be solid, and I'm starting to learn my way around it.

Many of your changes make me feel like a student who just had his paper returned with lots of red ink provided by his conscientious teacher. I will study, and learn.

I'm looking forward to reports from others!
