Hi Bill,
Yes, the flashing console windows must be happening when jt9.exe does
its 'call system("kvasd -q")' ... However, when WSJT-X is built from
within QtCreator it doesn't happen. There must be some flag we can set,
that controls the way the build of wsjtx (or jt9?) is done.

Hi Bill,
Hi Joe,
Your SF commit r3860 does, indeed, build WSJT-X so that it starts
without a console window.
However, on my system when the decoder runs (for example, decoding the
second sample file) a bunch of what look like console windows flash
momentarily on the screen. They go by so fast, I can't see what's in
them, if anything.
I see that sometimes. Surely that is down to the way kvasd is linked?
Something's not quite right with that build, yet.
I can't see how the build of wsjtx/jt9 can impact the way that kvasd
runs, maybe I'm missing something?

Hi Bill,
On my system, building WSJT-X with the current CMakeLists.txt files
results in an executable that runs in "console" mode -- i.e, is starts a
DOS-like console window along with the WSJT-X GUI. What do I need to
change to eliminate the console window?
