OK, I did wonder why the problem comes and goes.
I don't get he kvasd console windows in my local build and that is
definitely running kvasd because I was testing the 1.12 version. I used
the modification time on kvasd.dat to determine if kvasd actually executed.
Although my CMakeLists.txt is quite different from the current svn
version, I can't see any obvious difference that would have that effect.
Since jt9 is launching the kvasd process I wonder if somehow that didn't
get relinked with the changes I checked in at your end. Are you using
the install target, if not then you may need to copy jt9.exe into your
test environment.

I see that sometimes. Surely that is down to the way kvasd is linked?
Something's not quite right with that build, yet.
I can't see how the build of wsjtx/jt9 can impact the way that kvasd
runs, maybe I'm missing something?
