I think you may have misunderstood, the source RPM (SRPM) has the source,
patches (none needed right now) and build instructions (aka, spec file) all
rolled into one.
You could either build the RPM from it and install it:
$ rpmbuild --rebuild <package>.rpm
$ yum install ./path/to/resultant/rpm
It will complain about any build dependencies
Or use the spec file as a guide to building it by hand.
