Yes, each station was using the "standard" CQ call.  The use of "CQ DX 
<CALL>" causes more problems than this - double-clicking on the caller will 
set WSJT-X to use "DX" as the station calling "CQ" as well as set up 
JTAlertX for using "DX" as the call sign for all of its functions.

In each case, the tilde (~) appeared in front of the calling station's 
country as well, e.g.:  1530 -13 0.2 1145 # CQ XXXXXX GD00 ~Timbuktu
