Hi All,

I have a trouble with wspr 4.0 r4889 under JTSDK 2.0 Windows and Linux
Cannot enable "Measure an audio frequency" button as described in
http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/WSPR_4.0_User.pdf
appendix C, where at point 3:
3. With WSPR running in Idle mode, click Measure an audio frequency on
the Advanced dialog screen

WSPR is in idle mode, but "Measure an audio frequency" button is disabled.

To understand the problem I used the procedure in
http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/FMT_User.pdf
and substitute command "fmt" with "fmtest"
Very nice and useful software.

In JTSDK a script is provided:
C:\JTSDK\wspr\install\fmt-env.bat

from the prompt I test some stations.
fmtest 1170 1 1500 100 60 KOPER
fmtest 4996 1 1500 100 60 RWM
fmtest 9996 1 1500 100 60 RWM
fmtest 14996 1 1500 100 60 RWM
Manually removed few lines from fmt.all where frequency measure is not
correct (eg. if all measure on 15 Mhz are in 2 Hz range, single line
with high offset is inconsistent)
fmtave fmt.all
fcal fmtave.out

I obtain all files needed and also a fcal.plt usable with gnuplot.
fcal.out contain:
     0.0383
    -2.0686
The values depend on radio hardware project and precision of calibration.
"A" value near to zero is realistic.
The "B" value is the ppm error and in my case is negative, 2 Hz every MHz.

In WSPR button "Read A and B from fcal.out" work and I obtain the
calibration.
The values inserted in WSJTX 1.6.1 also correct the frequency, but show
me a final 999 when the frequency is read from radio.
Selected 14076000 from list, radio goto 14.075.97(Hz unit missed on
radio) WSJTX show 14,075 999
It is normal as FT857 is 10 Hz step and the calculation rounding cause this.

Found also typos in
http://sourceforge.net/p/wsjt/wsjt/HEAD/tree/branches/wspr/manpages/fmtest.1.txt
where in lines 34 and 37 khz must be Hz

Which is the trick to enable "Measure an audio frequency" button ?
Which is my misunderstanding ?
