The developer information is a bit of a victim of rapid change. There is a background effort to bring it up to date but Greg KI7MT, who was doing it, jumped over to making the JTSDK which makes the self build process so simple that perhaps we have neglected documenting that entry point in a prominent place.
Some keyword based searches of this list using the archive tool on SourceForge will probably save you having to ask some of these entry point questions.
