Could tracking the phase of signals over time be done to separate pieces of signal from different transmitters? (Or maybe you already do this.). A signal from one source will be phase coherent with itself over time while other signals will be at some random relationship in phase at least for the duration of one tone.
If the transmission algorithm could be made to preserve coherence over an entire exchange, so that any given tone will be coherent with all other occurrences of that tone, that could provide more information the receiver could use to tease apart overlapping signals. Paul, KB1EHD
