In both instances, the templates and the Sync/Tol retention there are several modes that we would want to remember the users setting for as well as having a method of setting back to defaults. Messy but there is nothing about it that is not doable. Because I was already thinking about this for Sync/Tol I would be happy to take this on once I am done with the ISCAT project. Case in point - I use WSJT 10.0 mainly for meteor scatter (FSK441), 70cm EME (JT65b) and occasionally 2meter and 70cm Terrestrial( JT65b2). In VK and ZL we use a different template for FSK441 compared with North America and Europe. Both callsigns are always sent and the report attached to the respondents callsign with a"/". That way, when multiple users are active on the same frequency, there can be no mistake to whom the report is intended. This format works extremely well. Consequently when I change from FSK441 to JT65B and then later back to FSK441, I lose the local template format as it reverts to the default and subsequently have to re-enter the local template. I notice WSJT 9.7 did not have this issue. Would it be possible to add a 'Region 3' template as per LZ2HV's FSK441 software, 'MSHV'?
