Hi Edson, In WSJT-X, I can see the Loopback device, I just cannot see any of the subdevices. For example, among others, I see:
hw:CARD=Loopback,DEV=0 hw:CARD=Loopback,DEV=1 plughw:CARD=Loopback,DEV=0 plughw:CARD=Loopback,DEV=1 If my Gnuradio program writes to hw:0,0,0, then I am able to use WSJT-X to read from DEV 1, which is how it is supposed to work. The problem is that there are 8 subdevices, and these are not shown in WSJT-X - only the main device is shown (DEV 0 or DEV 1). On the Gnuradio side, I am writing to hw:0,0,0, hw:0,0,1, hw:0,0,2, … hw:0,0,7 On the WSJT-X side, I would like to be able to select, for example, hw: CARD=Loopback, DEV=1, SUBDEV=3 I think that what happens is that the first instance of WSJT-X will pick the first subdevice, the second one will pick the second subdevice, etc. But this requires that I start the instances in a specific sequence, which is not going to be very reliable. I have tentatively come to a similar conclusion, namely, that this has something to do with a limitation in qt5 multimedia. Steve k9an > On Nov 29, 2015, at 1:36 PM, Edson W. R.
