Hello,

I've read the reports about audio problems with Mac OS X 10.11 and wsjt-x. I
was surprised when I read about them on machamradio.

I am running wsjt-X, been running 1.5 and now I'm running 1.6.0-rc1 without
issues. My rig is an Icom IC-7200, connected by USB, and I haven't had any
audio issues with it, been operating for several hours without mysterious
disconnections.

It must be an issue with certain USB controller chips. If reporting it to Apple
it will be helpful to mention it.

The IC-7200 uses a PCM2901E/2K, and so far it works perfectly. I am tracking
the Capitan betas and I have had zero issues with it.

The only oddity I've seen with this rig is Icom's fault. The system detects it
as a stereo device by default (it's an off the shelf audio interface) and while
the A/D converter has both inputs connected, only the left output of the D/A is
connected, while the right output is floating. If the software selects the
right output audio won't be transmitted.

cheers,

Borja.
