the first issue was a defect in WSJT-X, we were not always resetting the angle to zero before starting to synthesis the waveform. The second issue appears to be a defect in VB-Cable. I guess that it is not clearing its audio buffers and it plays a spurious small block of old audio when the stream is opened. WSJT-X opens the audio output stream at the beginning of a transmission and closes it again at the end of a transmission.
