Further to this:

to the members and owner of the Facebook group that has been flagrantly
disregarding Joe's copyright and licence on WSJT-X by continuing to
publish binary packages of WSJT-X built from the development sources.
You allowed me to join your closed group and even to point out that you
should not be doing what you are, in the past. But now when I politely
request that you take down the latest build because of the above
request, you ban me. This is childish, I had no malicious intent, we are
fellows in the Amateur Radio community - or are we not?

To those taking advantage of the apparently freely available stream of
development binary packages of WSJT-X from the above source and others,
be aware that the GPLv3 Open Source Licence that WSJT-X is released
under does not allow binary distribution of the product without the
permission of the copyright holder. There is no ambiguity, doing this is
not just taking advantage, it is almost certainly breaking laws.

We, the development team, understand that you all want to get access to
the latest changes. This is possible if you build the application
yourself but with that comes a responsibility, you must take note of
what the latest changes are and the developers opinion of stability and
fitness for purpose. We collaborate on our development work on a public
source code repository, we have nothing to hide, we do not exclude
anyone. With that openness comes an opportunity for free loaders to take
advantage, that is the price that Free Open Source developers pay for
doing their work in public. Please respect our requests, they are for a
good reason.

You would be a fool to break into your favourite car manufacturers R&D
facility and borrow the latest prototype to drive your children to
school every day. If you want to be part of what Joe K1JT is giving to
the Amateur Radio community then respect his requests.
