OK...I think this may have something to do with transmit bandwidth. Was playing around with it and had dropped it to 2kHz. I have to leave right now but I think when you get an offset of around 1400 it bumps it to 1900 with split mode...I don't quite understand why WSJT-X would care though with the volume level behaving screwy. It has no idea what the transmit bandwidth is so why would volume go nuts? I have yet to confirm absolutely that this is what is causing it. Hopefully when I get back.
