Hi Bill, The OM, was not using an Win10 Insider install. Examining the environment dump that JTAlert takes, his Win10 build does not appear to be an "Insider build" and matches the build number of my "bog standard" Win10. His Win10 build is the same before and after a System restore. After a Restore DDE resumed functioning. I think the OM may be reluctant to try the 1.7.0-devel again. I had a hard time convincing him to try the 1.6.0 version, he was feeling uneasy about the number of System Restores he had already performed during his testing and was hesitant about the possibility of have to perform another if 1.6.0 exhibited the same behaviour. I suspect that somehow the DDE service at the OS level was becoming disabled or broken. Which would explain the broken DDE persisting across PC reboots. At this time, I suggest we consider this a one-off that may have been the result of a faulty dev build. If i encounter this situation again I will keep the setting of the port to zero in mind. de Laurie VK3AMA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you?
