extract the new field in the MessageServer::parse_message member
function, the key line being:

watchdog_timeout;
this also tells me that you did not test the change ;) Part of the point
of the message_aggregator application is to enable end to end testing of
UDP message changes.
I have fixed the error and checked in you patch, thanks for the
contribution.
