You are building the program yourself, so you need to do some diagnosis
yourself when you find a problem.
Some things that would be installed automatically from the distribution
package may not be in the correct place after your builds.
If I infer correctly what you must be doing, the files Steve named are
in your source code directory here:
.../src/wsjtx/lib/ldpc/jtmode_codes.
You would need to copy them to the place Steve indicated.
