Is QRA mode supposed to allow short tones too?  No Sh box on that one.

 That is an oxymoron, short codes are a substitute for standard messages 
usually used because they use a different modulation scheme that is more likely 
to be decoded. E.g. pure tones at particular offsets in JT4, fast coded hashes 
of callsigns in MSK144, etc... Short codes are enabled by checking the "Sh" box 
on the main WSJT-X window. 73
