Hi Patrick,

WSJT-X follows the rig and does not know when you have the transverter 
switched in, as far as it is concerned it assumes that a rig reporting 
28MHz is receiving and transmitting on 10m. Once you select a 2m 
frequency the offset is applied - the offset is stored against the 2m 
band - so at that time your rig is expected to be the IF for your 
transverter and applies the required up and down conversions to the 
displayed frequency.
