So call 1st (and I guess weak too) should maybe be disabled after starting the
QSO and then re-enabled at Tx 6 again?  Or perhaps only enable when Tx 6 is
active?

Call 1st is great for us old guys that are slower on the mouse clicks.  It
does seem to work.  The problem I had was if some over anxious caller (I
guess because I am in the rare state of Virginia) would call me before I
finished my current QSO sequence, WSJT-X would jump to the other caller's
frequency!  So now, as soon as I establish a QSO, I click off the Call 1st
feature and then re-engage it when I call CQ again.

I've been trying out the new UI feature for auto-responding to a CQ, for
which many thanks Joe.

The Call 1st option works like a champ. It enables a station to work a 'run'
without any duplicated transmissions even if you're a bit slow on the
uptake.

I couldn't persuade 'Weak' to work, though. Tried it a couple of times and
in both cases my station responded with another CQ. There was only one
caller in each case.
