Should being the key word. I was working with another local ham last night, I was running 7833, he was 78 20somthing. I sent a TX5 that was "5W 160L TU 73" when he would have been expecting a generated 73 and his end didn't trigger the 73, he just kept sending the auto-generated RRR...

Hi Neil,

there is no need for a reply to a sign off message but if it contains the word "73" it should work the same as a standard 73 message.
