Mike,

*1)* your issue seems to be one where split working is part of the solution

*2)* you are seeking somehow to constrain *everyone else* for the benefit of your potential QSO

*3)* in general intra-continental and inter-continental frequencies on VHF are different, to avoid problems with local interference

*4)* given the number of people who insist on using out-of-date versions of operating systems, WSJT-X itself, to say nothing of JTAlert and other support programs…

*5)* is there some problem with calling CQ EU, if that is really what you wish to do?

*6)* when you or I find ourselves the only ones in-step, the world is trying to tell us something

AFAIK, no intercontinental FT8 frequency has yet been established. Presumably it would need to be clear of local traffic at each end. There is *no* obvious *simple* solution to the problem described below.

A further issue is that *DX* always was, is, and probably always will be, undefined. What's local to you may be DX to me. And from time-to-time a station calling CQ DX may be happy to chat to another station just to confirm that the CQ DX station is getting at least somewhere, if not DX, whatever that may be. And in this case you seem to wish that DX changes its meaning when there is, or might be, an opening, or perhaps an exceptional opening. That's a really tough problem both to define and to solve.

Anyone know if there to keep WSJT-X 1.8 from responding to
my calling CQ DX from Local North America Stations inside
WSJT-X or JT-Alert

Trying to do FT8 6 meters and doing multi-hops from North America into
Europe and window for hop is critical

When a Local Station responds to my CQ DX, a Local Station can hijack
the time I need to make a DX Contact by Auto responding during a West
Coast North America to Europe opening

Any experimental version or beta version of WSJT-X for FT8 out there to do this filter procedure ?

Thanks in advance
