Hi,

Is this normal ?

Hi Pino,

WSJT-X always writes a .WAV file but deletes it around 3/4 through the next T/R period if you have "Menu->Save->None" selected. Likewise for "Menu->Save->Decoded" when there are no decodes. This implementation is useful if something unusual happens or if the program crashes during decoding since the .WAV file for the period of interest is or can be saved, see ALT+V in the keyboard short-cuts ("Menu->Help->Keyboard shortcuts" or F3 for a reminder).

Occasionally a .WAV file will be saved despite the settings, this most usually is due to the application being closed before it deletes the last saved .WAV file. The disk space usage is relatively minimal and can be quickly recovered by pressing the "Menu->File->Delete all *.wav & *.c2 files in SaveDir" button.
