Yes it is correct. This is on purpose to keep the tone you transmit higher than 1499 and lower than 2000 Hertz. Doing so will help assure that your transmitter’s filter takes out any audio harmonics of the tones you send out. This has done a lot to clean up on the bands of dirty signals. Assuming your CAT control works properly, this is all transparent to the station on the other end.
