Hello all this is my first post here, sorry that it is reporting a small
problem.
First configuration info.
Windows 10 Professional 64 bit
Intel Core i5-4750 @ 3.2 GHz
Intel HD graphics 4600
8 GB ram
SSD
WSJT 1.8.0
Radio ANAN-100D
CAT control functional, audio input without problems - there are no
overuns or underuns in the TX and RX audio as reported by the adaptive
variable resampler present in PowerSDR mRX PS V3.4.9.
Input and output for WSJT-X is using voice meter banana (VMB), sample
rate is 48000Hz and I am using ASIO drivers.
When I start monitoring modes that use the fast graph I hear 'zipper
noise' pulses on the monitored receive audio at the same rate as the
data is drawn on the graph. I do not get continuous data drawn but what
appears to be 1 second chunks drawn in the fast graph window. With each
write to the graph I get low level audio disturbances that appear to be
synchronised with these pulses. This occurs whenever monitor is active
and even if the fast graph window is closed.
However if I have VMB as well WSJT-X open in the same window then there
is no problem, until WSJT-X has the focus and is active. I only use a
single monitor on the PC to reduce radiated noise so I switch task views
depending on what I am doing. So I have a work around but I would like
to know what is going on and if anyone can suggest a remedy.
I have a feeling that it has something to do with my graphics card.
Can anyone recreate this or offer any suggestions about what I can do?
Regards
Conrad PA5Y
