Dear volunteer programmers,
I stepped into digital modes fascinating world in few days back, by
installing your excellent ft8 program.
I have a setup, where remotestation locates in OH6, Vaasa and remotecontrol
station locates in my home HL1, Seoul, Korea. Due to strong internet
backbones, this normally works very well - even done several contests
including CW.
Im running normal qsqs based on N1MM+ DXpedition mode on SSB and CW, and
bandmap = CAT works quite ok - there is small delay, especially if using
VFO fast.
It seems that version 1.9.1. which is available in wsjt-x pages, has some
differences vs. to N1MM+ CAT control... there comes Error message of
"conflict VFO" or similar. When testing CAT, it catches i think some
communication, as program follows Freq when re-trying.
Im using Microbit Remoterig products for over the internet controls,
RRC-1258MkIIs
http://www.remoterig.com/wp/
Somehow i believe question is some sort of delays, which are allowed by
WSJT-X software... or maybe i dont have all settings right for FT5000? Im
using same settings as in RRC-remoteboxes, 38400, 8,1,N, etc... I dont know
how well you know these RRC products, but On remote control ends, the RRC
box combines Ft5K and PC, which both can RX/TX CAT commands when running
N1MM+
If you are interested in to fix the bug, let me know what kind of data you
want me to deliver?
I will be taking one week business trip to 9M and 9V, but i will be back
within one week.
Thanks for reading - you are doing great contribution for radio amateur
society!
