No...that description is accurate...wsjtx does run on XP....but XP is no longer 
supported by Microsoft and there are absolutely no guarantees that future 
version of software will work with XP.  For example, JTAlert already has 
stopped support of XP due to some changes that XP cannot support anymore (new 
.Net code)
