Hi Bill, Jay & All,

no it hasn't but not much is being pushed there while we are at early stages of a major release. Once things have stabilized a bit then bug fix updates will be pushed there more regularly for those that can't wait for a formal bug fix release.

In my own opinion, it's a sort of contradiction to release the same source code as tarball but not in the freely available repo. Misusers will not be inhibited in this manner.

In the past, I have observed that some problems occur in a Linux environment and not in the Windows World. In fact, there is more diversity in this Linux environment as in the Windows environment, probably because it's open source, like wsjtx. In order to participate to the development effort, I think that the beta testers should be able to test the compilation ability of release candidates in different environments, in order to be able to contribute to the global effort. If this ability is only given to to beta testers in a final release, this release cannot be final for evident reasons.

In my opinion, releases candidates should be available in the git repo.

Just my own opinion !

Misuse of early R&D work by others has forced us to use a private repository for such work with only source code of final releases being pushed out at the point of release. We have yet to hit the sweet spot of R&D in public and having others take advantage before we have released packages ourselves.

I understand very well and I disapprove misuse.

Best wishes,
Claude (DJ0OT)
