Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. The "/R" usage is intended for NA VHF contest messages only. You can't "mix and match" with the special message formats. Thus, you can't use a "/R" callsign in (say) the special RTTY Roundup message formats.

See the example QSOs in the "Quick-Start Guide to WSJT-X 2.0".

You might want to hold off just a bit on testing Rover-style QSOs. In the -rc1 and -rc2 releases, messages with "/R" callsigns are transmitted and decoded as they should be. But we haven't yet enabled the auto-generation of these messages in the Tx1 - Tx5 entry fields. This facility should be there in -rc3.

Hi Joe. I am pondering running during the HF test tonight but also saw your message about
avoiding the use of a "non standard or compound call". Would running tonight with a
"/R" call be ok ? (I'm not 100 percent certain I can be on the air tonight but will try
hard (: My home HF station is quite modest but I expect 40M would likely work ok.)

Also to recap a prior message I'd be happy to do some on the air testing on VHF and up
with anyone who is in range. I'll be sure to provide feed back re the "/R"
functionality once I have some data.

Thanks again to the team for accommodating this (and other requests) from the
myself and others
