You probably won't notice it at 1-3W.  I also have an ANAN 100 and use Voice
Banana as Muzychenko had too many dropouts.

If you set WSJT-X at -12dB and adjust your PA settings to get something more
like 100W you should see the power gradually increase over a few seconds.

Using rc2 and 1.91, I checked on my system and do not see what you have
described. I use an SDR setup with virtual audio channels (ANAN, PowerSDR,
Muzychenko VAC, Windows 10pro). Since I was not sure what you meant by the
"12db down” comment, I tried it with the WSJT power slider at both -0.3db
(where I usually run) and -14db. At -0.3, I had a normal ~95W output tx
waveform - at -14db 1-3W tx output. I was switching between 17m, 15m and 60m.
However, clicking the WSJT-x tune button, I do see a small, ~10db above no
signal, on both tx on and tx off which then goes to full power and no power as
appropriate. It lasts ~1/2 to 1 second both ways and always happens no matter
whether switching channels or making calls. I think its been there since I
started using WSJT-X around 2016.
I took note of your message because it seems to me that both the rc1, and rc2,
outputs seem more stable in amplitude and timing than the previous few
versions, i.e. apparently, some change has been made in the tx output
processing.

Subject: [wsjt-devel] Transmit signal problems

Having a problem with transmit signals behaving badly when 12dB down or more on
RC2.? The behavior I see is my output power gradually rises over about 3
seconds and that's what started my investigation.? If above 12dB no
problem...power is spot on when PTT is asserted...but this is just a symptom of
what appears to be a bigger problem.

So I compared the signal being generated by RC2 with 1.9.1.The image included
here is the tune signal from both WSJT-X versions going through the same VB
audio cable recorded with Audacity so the audio paths are identical.

First signal is 1.9.1 tune button (looks fine) followed quickly by RC2's tune
button (yikes!!).? Both systems at full scale on the pwr slider.I would hope
this can be duplicated on somebody else's system. And RC1 behaves badly too.
