I answered Station A with my call and grid
Station A sends report
I send station A my R+ report

Apparently another station, B, was in contact with A previously -
Station B sends station A 73 message
Station A sends me RRR

For some reason, my next message is to station B with my grid and not 73
to station A

I should have saved the message window but I was caught off guard by the
unusual sequence.
If I see it again I'll save the screen.
