The fact WSJT-X being a 32-bit application could then explain my

Do I need to install all 32-bit dependencies in order to succeed?
Thanks!

Hi Marco,
sorry, I should have been more careful in my statement above. On MS
Windows WSJT-X is a 32-bit application. On Linux and Mac systems it
builds as a native bit-width application, i.e. on 32-bit Linux it is
32-bit and on 64-bit Linux it is 64-bit.
You do not need 32-bit dependencies to build WSJT-X on Linux. I will be
glad to help with resolving the issues you are seeing, please post your
questions here so that others can find the results as well.
