Excellent thought Eric, but not the case here.

I have 3 monitors.  None are zoomed in but using the default sizes for the
1280 x 1024 for my monitors.
#1 has HRD Logbook and web sites via Google,
#2 is WSJTx and JTAlert with JTAlert taking top and right side of WSTJx.
Even stopping those programs and taking WSJTx to full screen doesn't change
the dropdown even after a restart of WSJTx in full screen mode.
#3 monitor has HRD Rig Control with the WSJTx Waterfall taking the bottom
2/3rds of the window.
