Hi Dave,
ok, none of that is likely to help and personally I would avoid registry
cleaning applications, they are similar to letting your barber fix the
brakes on your car!
McAffe may be interfering, but before trying to fight that POS try
right-clicking the WSJT-X icon and selecting "Compatibility" tab and
click "Run compatibility troubleshooter". See if that fixes it, if it
does let us know which compatibility options it selected.
