Here's a patch which adds audio debug to the Band Activity window.I would also 
add a patch to the Settings/Audio tab for a checkbox to enable this but since I 
don't have access to current source code it's a waste of my time to submit a 
patch for that.  Perhaps one of the team with code access might do that.

It's quite verbose and looks like this where the 1st sound packet will have the 
largest dT value and the rest are 280-290ms with 3456 byte packet sizes.If 
audio dropouts occur you'll see larger dT values.  If the packet after that is 
not faster than 280ms than an audio dropout has occurred and you won't see the 
counter get to 50.  I also think the WAV save decision should be based on time 
and not the packet count since decoding with less than 50 packets can work.
