Hi Shane,
Michael worked with me and he made a fix for the FT-847. I am currently running 
release test 25. I would imagine it would be in the next release. You will have 
to select Yaesu FT-847UNI. Also, depending on your interface, you will have to 
key the radio using the RTS if you are using the rear data jack. The CAT 
command will only use the front microphone jack. I have used this configuration 
for a few months and it works for all modes. Since the communications is one 
way, if you change from USB to CW, you must change it back manually. I can tell 
you that it is a lot of fun making 400+ mile contacts on VHF and UHF. Also 
since you said that you have two radios, you can run a 2nd instance in a 
command line prompt. This is what I use:

C:\WSJT\wsjtx\bin\wsjtx.exe --rig-name=FT847uni

I hope this helps you out. I can email you the release I am using, but maybe 
Michael an recommend a later release.
